Kentucky. Taylorsville Lake is seeking a volunteer couple or single for the summer of 2019. Required duties include staffing the Visitor Center from 10 am-4 pm on weekends and holidays and upkeep of a small recreation area. Other duties could be utilized that maximizes your talent and interests to benefit the project such as landscaping, minor trail maintenance, water safety presentations, video production, wildlife habitat improvements, carpentry work, or etc. Volunteer(s) would be required to commit to a minimum of 12, but no more than 20 hours per week, May through September 2019. In return, volunteer(s) will be provided a private campsite with concrete pad, electric, water, sewer hookup, gated access, fire pit, storage building, and on-site washer and dryer. This is a single campsite adjacent to our historic interpretive area and within walking distance to the Corps office/Visitor Center. Taylorsville Lake is located in central Kentucky between Louisville and Lexington. Deadline to submit an application is December 31.
