Bouse Chamber of Commerce

Arizona. Wanted: Couple to work as caretakers for a small museum in Bouse, Arizona featuring pioneer living, mining, and nearby Camp Bouse WWII Desert Training Camp memorabilia. Open seasonally November 1 through March 31.  Approximately 20 hours a week Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. Compensation will be a full hookup site including laundry facilities. Duties include operation of the museum; greeting visitors, handling sales, and housekeeping of museum and restrooms and grounds maintenance. Prefer no pets and non-smoking. Neal Taylor Nature Center

California. The Neal Taylor Nature Center seeks camp hosts. Availability during the months of April/May 2024 through October/November 2024 (Some flexibility with dates). Duties include greeting visitors and light cleaning. A host with strong computer skills and/or gardening and maintenance skills is highly desirable for 20 hours per week for FHU site. The Nature Center has hands-on exhibits focusing on Cachuma Lake and the surrounding watersheds of the Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountain and is located in a historic ranch house. Lutherhaven Ministries

Idaho. Spend two months in the beautiful mountains of Northern Idaho! Lutherhaven Ministries is currently looking for spring volunteers for our Outdoor Education season  from April - May. Each spring and fall, 2,500 students come to Camp Lutherhaven and Shoshone Mountain Retreat for one-five days of environmental studies, team building, and fun! Serve behind the scenes or with students of all ages!  Includes free WiFi and living on Lake Coeur d’Alene (Camp Lutherhaven) and/or the Panhandle National Forest (Shoshone Mountain Retreat) with easy access to outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and biking. Alder Creek Community Forest

Oregon. Alder Creek Community Forest operates on 80 acres in southern Oregon. The renewable volunteer contract provides an RV site with basic hookups and WiFi in exchange for 10 hours weekly per caretaker, including facilities maintenance, visitor management, and groundskeeping. Capacity for minor physical labor, some mechanical ability, and good human skills are important assets. Background check and references required.
