COVID-19 Effect on Workamping Community Survey

We created a 1-question survey to Workampers and to Workamper Employers to get an idea how this pandemic has affected the Workamping & RVing community. The survey was started on 3/27/20 and distributed via social media, email, and our website to Workamper News members and non-members.  Survey ended 6/7/20.

Here are the results as of 6/7/20:

Please select the description that most closely matches what's going on with you/your family as of today:

30% - Nothing has changed about my summer job. It's still on as originally set and I plan to go.

16% - My Employer has postponed my summer job for now. They have asked me to arrive later than planned.

13% - I wasn't planning to work this summer, but I have postponed or canceled my RV travel plans.

8% - My Employer has postponed my summer job for now, but is allowing me to still arrive on the originally determined date.

7% - I wasn't planning to work this summer, and nothing has changed about my RV travel plans.

5% - My Employer canceled my summer season job.

5% - I canceled on my summer season position.

3% - I work remotely/from my RV, so my work-life hasn't changed too much.

3% - I was let go from my current Workamping job that was supposed to last through the summer or longer.

11% - None of these apply.

Which option below most closely describes your operation and Workamper program at this time?

51% - We are still open or plan to open as usual.

13% - We have postponed our opening date, but our Workamper(s) are already here or we are allowing them to arrive at the originally agreed-upon date.

11% - We have decided to close our operation or not open our operation, but we are allowing our Workampers to stay for now.

9% - We have postponed our opening date, and we have told our Workamper(s) to wait to come.

2% - We offer an opportunity outside of the normal summer/winter Workamping seasons. Currently we are unaffected.

2% - We were already open when the pandemic escalated, but we have had to let some of our Workampers go.

0% - We have decided to close our operation or not open our operation. We had to tell our Workamper(s) to leave or not to come.

13% - None of these apply.

Note: With any of the options that indicate the operation is open or will be opening, it should be assumed that the operation has altered their standard operating procedures and/or revised the services/activities that are normally offered based on recommendations and guidelines set forth by the CDC, federal and state gov't, etc. to best protect the owners, staff, and customers.
