How This Website Works

We connect RVers looking for work with businesses all around the U.S. that want to hire them!

A Labor Of Love

Since its creation in 1987, Workamper News has had great success connecting thousands of RVers looking for work with Employers all around the U.S. that want to hire people that can live on site or nearby in an RV. What began as a few simple pages of job listings grew over the years into a full-color magazine and robust website.

Although we ended production of the magazine in 2022, our website is more robust than ever. Today, we continue to build new and better ways to connect Workampers and Employers with our custom-built website.

We love helping RVers live this awesome lifestyle and we are proud that we get to help businesses all around the U.S. hire from this unique, diverse, and experienced pool of applicants. We love what we do and we hope you do too!

Our Mission

Our mission is to not only help our members connect with job opportunities all over the United States, but to help them do so with ease and support. We are here to assist you in the quest of finding that perfect Workamping job or that perfect Workamper hire.

Workamper News is NOT a hiring agency

We do not actively play match-maker with individual Workampers and Employers. Employers submit their help wanted ads to us and we disseminate them to Workampers. Workampers can create a resume and get found by Employers. We are a tool that each party can use to connect with each other, and it is then up to each party to review the opportunity or applicant to see if it's a match.

Workamper News does not know if or when Employers hire Workampers or who has been hired by whom. Workamper News does not know when Workampers have accepted or completed a job unless a Workamper adds work history to their resume.

We do not have a review process that Employers go through before becoming a member or advertising - just as there is no review process for Workampers to become a member and create a resume.

Please understand that joining this website does not guarantee that Workampers will find a job or Employers will hire that perfect employee. Also, joining with a certain level of membership does not guarantee priority over others when it comes to finding a job or hiring a Workamper.

Workampers

It is up to you to post your resume to the database, view the new job listings posted to our webpage or sent via email, and to read through the help wanted ads in our magazine archive in order to locate employment opportunities that fit your needs. It is then up to you to make contact with employers you are interested in working for, research the ins-and-outs of their operation, and/or send them your resume via our resume system.

Workamper News is not responsible if a Workamper accepts a position that does not meet his or her expectations.

Employers

It is up to you to build your profile page, run help wanted ads, and/or search the Workamper Resume Database for Workampers that fit your job requirements. It is up to you to contact Workampers based on the information provided in their resume, receive and respond to inquiries from Workampers based on the information you provide in your ads, and perform all background checks on anyone you are considering hiring.

Workamper News is not responsible for a Workamper accepting a position then not showing up or not liking it. Nor is Workamper News responsible for Employers hiring a Workamper that doesn't meet their expectations. Workamper News is not responsible if an Employer provides a work agreement and then either party does not follow through with the details of the agreement.

Resume Database & Employer Profiles

Depending on level of membership chosen, Workampers can advertise themselves to Employers by creating an online resume in the Resume Database and Employers can advertise themselves by creating their online Employer Profile.

Our Workamper Resume Builder and Employer Profile Builder wizards are custom-built to be easy, but thorough. They walk you through all the different pieces of content necessary to create an accurate representation of your desires, whether you are a Workamper looking for a job or an Employer looking for that next great team member.

Once a Workamper member creates and activates their resume, it will be searchable in the database by our Employer members. Employers do not have to edit or activate their Employer Profile for it to be found by our Workamper members. Employers can be found if they are a member or have at least one posted review by a Workamper.

Help Wanted Advertising

Employers can advertise themselves to Workamper members via the advertising options described here and by creating a profile on this site. Employers generate their own advertising. Duties, compensation, and other specific details about your employment opportunities are not reviewed or evaluated by Workamper News.

Workamper News Magazine was published 1987-2022. We now strictly run help wanted advertising online via our website, email services, and podcast.

Revisions to ads that ran in issues of the magazine cannot be made to either version (print or online). On this same note, once an online help wanted ad is emailed, revisions cannot be made to the ad. Changes can be made to the help wanted ads posted on our website, but the edited ad will not be re-sent via email.

We do not allow advertising for multi-level or network marketing offers and other "get rich quick" schemes. The staff reserves the right to refuse access to any entities whose opportunities are not compatible with the Workamper community.

NOTICE TO ADVERTISERS: Federal laws prohibit employers, with certain carefully defined exceptions, from discriminating because of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation or national origin in the placement of employment advertisements. Because of the defined exceptions, publishers are not required to screen advertising for the purpose of deciding the exemption status of an employer. Workamper News reminds employers that certain discriminatory advertising could subject them to legal action and possible penalties if the employer is under the provisions of the law.

Employer Reviews

Workamper members can read and write reviews of Employers they have previously worked for. Reviews can include a star rating, a job title, location, and text about their experience working for a particular company. We do not allow reviews to include names of specific individuals that work at a company. If you had a negative experience, please say so, but stick to the facts.

Reviews are always posted anonymously - there will be no identifying information displayed with the post. We will not disclose the identity of the review poster to anyone, including Employers, unless demanded by a rule of law or government official.

Employer members can read and write replies to reviews posted about their business. However, Employers cannot post reviews of Workampers. We do not provide a way for Employers to "black list" previous employees or otherwise interfere with a Workamper's ability to find a job as this practice would be illegal.

Please Play Nice

Workamper News reserves the right to cancel your membership and access to our website and services at any time. We have banned both Workampers and Employers from using our services for a variety of reasons. Please take a look at our Terms and Conditions page to learn more about our policies.
