OUR WORKAMPER PROGRAM
We are looking for Workampers who want to work 16-30 hours per week. Season starts May 1st and
runs
until late September or October 1st. Our pay scale starts at $15.00/hour depending on your
experience and skill set. We have an end of the season completion bonus equal to $4 per hour.
Most
of our Workampers receive over $1500 in their end of season bonus!
MAINTENANCE CREW MEMBER
Duties will include minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Painting, small mechanical repairs,
siding
and window replacement, etc. We require previous experience with carpentry, electrical,
plumbing,
and/or mechanics.
HOUSEKEEPING CREW MEMBER
Duties will include cleaning cottages and homes after guest stays, shower house cleaning,
laundry,
cleaning the grounds, minor landscape duties, etc.
BENEFITS
An RV site in exchange for 16 hours of work per week.
Pay for any hours worked after the first 16 hours.

Pets are allowed in the tent and RV sites. Our Workampers are welcome to bring their
four-legged
friends. A dog park and dog walk are conveniently located near us for you to explore.
What attractions are nearby?
We are centrally located near many destinations. Mt. Rushmore is only thirty minutes away
and
many
of the area attractions are within that radius. The Badlands are only forty-five minutes to
the
East, and Deadwood about the same distance to the North. We enjoy helping plan your daily
itinerary
and excursions. We have a list of things to do nearby on our maps page on our
website.
Do you have a pool?
We do not have an on-site pool. Try out our creek for wading and splashing around! Also,
check
out
the Jimmy Hilton Municipal pool, located only 5 minutes away!
Do you allow campfires?
No, we do not have provisions for campfires due to the proximity of other camping sites.
There
are a
number of locations nearby where it is possible to have a campfire for a picnic or evening
meal
such
as Sheridan Lake and the picnic shelters here at Canyon Lake.
How far is it to the grocery store and places to eat?
We are on the West edge of Rapid City just off of Highway 44. Major chain grocery stores are
about 3
miles away, with numerous places to eat within 5 miles. We are just 4 miles away from
Downtown
Rapid
City – a country feel with city appeal! Be sure to check out the local Farmer’s markets in
the
summer and food trucks year round.
How do I get to Lake Park Campground from within the city limits?
From I90 Take exit 57 (HWY 16) at first intersection take Hwy 44 West 4 miles following
these
streets: Omaha St, then Mt View, then Jackson Blvd - when you see the lake on your left
prepare
to
turn on Chapel lane to the left go one block to the entrance Lake Park Campground and
Cottages.
Coming from South 79 take Catron Blvd cross Hwy 16 continue till Sheridan lake rd. then turn
right
and then left at first intersection (Corral Drive) then first right on (Park) go until it
dead
ends
at Jackson Blvd. take a left and go until you see the lake on your left prepare to turn on
Chapel
Lane to the left. go one block to the entrance Lake Park Campground and Cottages.
