In 2023, we were once again chosen by the National Park Service to continue offering extraordinary experiences to millions of visitors to the Park! Our teams offer food and beverage options and retail items such as camping equipment, groceries, supplies, keepsakes and collectibles in 11 General Stores and online.

We also provide services at four lodging properties in West Yellowstone, Montana (the Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone, Holiday Inn ® West Yellowstone, Grey Wolf Inn & Suites, and Yellowstone Park Hotel.), as well as the Best Western by Mammoth Hot Springs in Gardiner, Montana.

THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND YELLOWSTONE

Yellowstone National Park is one of the world's largest playgrounds. An angler's paradise, Yellowstone National Park offers lakes, rivers and streams stocked with a wide range of fish species.

From serene lakes to explosive geysers, the calming song of a bird to the bugle of an elk, there are thousands of sights worth seeing in Yellowstone National Park.

Hiking in Yellowstone National Park means more than 1,100 miles of hiking trails, perfect for day hikes to extended backcountry excursions. Stop by a ranger station or visitor station for detailed Yellowstone hiking information as trail availability changes with seasons, trail conditions, bear activities and other unforeseen circumstances.

When it comes to summertime activities the West Yellowstone area is an outdoor enthusiast's dream come true. The long summer days provide visitors unlimited access to explore and play in the splendor of the high country. You can fish blue ribbon streams, hike in pristine wilderness, experience real western horseback riding, go whitewater rafting or mountain bike on hundreds of miles of single track and forest service roads. Hebgen Lake with its miles and miles of shoreline offers camping, boating, canoeing and some of the best fishing around. And just beyond is Earthquake Lake formed the night in 1959 that a 7.5 quake rocked the Madison Valley and a mountain fell. Still further along are the intriguing old gold mining towns of Virginia and Nevada Cities. Maybe best of all, you can just relax and enjoy Montana's legendary hospitality surrounded by scenery that will make you wish you had more time to spend here.

EMPLOYEE INFO

Delaware North at Yellowstone brings together enthusiastic people from all over the world to work in our attractive stores and hotels and provide exceptional guest service and unforgettable memories to more than 4 million park visitors each year. Retirees and college students together will enjoy first-hand the amazing wonders of living in or by Yellowstone while they make new life-long friends and greet park visitors from around the globe.

Our stores and hotels have a variety of operating dates ranging from April to October. Tell us when you're available (longer is better!) and we'll do our best to find a perfect fit for you.

Our associates generally work 4 or 5 day work-weeks, ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week per person; 8 to 9 hours per day, depending on business need. Wages start at $15 per hour plus.

All hourly, seasonal Yellowstone General Stores associates receive store discounts, free entry to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, discounts at nearby merchants and activities, and those who complete their agreement will receive a completion bonus paid out with their last paycheck

In-park RV sites are $80/week inclusive of water, sewer and electricity. RV sites in West Yellowstone are $50-$80/week, depending on location; availability is limited. Most sites are within one mile of the store or within walking distance from our West Yellowstone hotels.

Meals are available in our Employee Dining Rooms for $75 per week (includes three meals per day) or $37.50 per week for lunches only.

All of our jobs are physically demanding and strenuous. Our associates must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, stand 8 hours per day, bend, stoop, and climb stairs, work at an altitude between 7,000 and 8,000 feet and have a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Associates should also be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including split shifts, as we provide services to our guests.

Medcor offers medical services to in-Park employees. National Park Service mandates that all employees within Park boundaries are to pay a nominal weekly fee of $7.70-$8.25. whether you use the clinic or not. This is not insurance. It is a pay for service offering. However, this fee may entitle you to a discount on office visits and other services but private insurance and Medicare are still required.
